The Citi® Bronze® / AAdvantage® Student Credit Card, one of several Citi® AAdvantage® credit cards offered by Citibank, is designed for students with average credit who travel regularly on American Airlines.

Through the reward program, Citi® Bronze® / AAdvantage® Student Credit Card cardholders earn one mile for every two dollars spent on the card. Miles are redeemable for flights on over 25 partner airlines, car rentals, and stays at hundreds of hotels worldwide. There is a maximum of 25,000 miles that can be accumulated each year (AAdvantage Executive Platinum®, AAdvantage Platinum®, and AAdvantage Gold® members are excluded from this limit.), and points have no expiration as long as there is account activity at least once every three years.

The APR for purchases is above average for a reward card. There is also a minimum cap of 19.99% for cash advances; so no matter how low the Prime Rate falls (the APR is tied to the Prime Rate), the interest rate will not go below the minimum cap. However, this card does offer a 0% introductory rate on balance transfers for the first six months.

Aside from the reward program, cardholders can expect several standard benefits that include travel accident insurance, no liability for unauthorized transactions, and various Internet account related services. Students also receive access to credit education tips and tools, and they get special student deals at participating merchants.
