Auto Body Repair - Collision Repair & Refinishing

Universal Technical Institute's collision repair and refinishing technology (CRRT) curriculum is based on the industry standard “I-CAR Enhanced Delivery” and is ASE/NATEF Master certified in all five areas of auto body repair, including:

* Structural Analysis and Damage Repair
* Non- Structural Analysis and Damage Repair
* Mechanical and Electrical Components
* Plastics and Adhesives
* Painting and Refinishing

There's a huge demand for auto body repair CRRT technicians. It's a challenging field with a lot of potential, especially for UTI graduates. From welding and cutting to frame alignment and paint color theory, you'll get the specialized, hands-on training you need to repair structural and non-structural damage on cars and trucks. You'll also learn to prepare cost estimates and to repair mechanical and electrical damage.

The auto body repair program includes specialized classroom and lab experiences concerned with all phases of the repair of:

* Damaged vehicle bodies and fenders
* Straightening by hammering
* Smoothing areas by filling, grinding, sanding
* Concealment of imperfections
* Replacement of body parts and components including glass
* Frame and unibody squaring and aligning
* Paint systems and undercoats
* Trim and hardware installation and maintenance
* Welding and Mechanical skills
* Use of parts
* Repair print manuals and computerized manuals
* Price lists
* Flat-rate manuals for estimating and pricing to customers
* Record keeping, shop safety and housekeeping

Available at UTI's Houston, TX campus and UTI's Sacramento, CA campus, the ASE/ NATEF Master Certified Collision Repair and Refinish Technology (CRRT) program can prepare you for ASE certification in all five areas/modules of collision repair and refinishing and is based on the industry standard I-CAR curriculum.
