 For over 100 years International Truck and Engine Corporation has been the leading producer of highway trucks and engines. To meet the ever-increasing need for qualified technicians, International Truck and Engine and Universal Technical Institute have worked together to create the International Technician Education Program (ITEP).
International ITEP is part of the UTI Manufacturer-Specific Training program (MSAT), a prestigious and highly selective program that’s designed to provide major manufacturers with high-caliber, exceptionally skilled technician candidates. This program isn’t for everyone. You have to apply for admission. And only a select few are chosen to enroll.
Eighteen-wheeler Mechanic Training
This intensive 14-week program offers hands-on training that focuses on medium and heavy diesel truck technology. You’ll work with International Truck and Engine diagnostic equipment, electronic systems, and engines. You’ll learn from ITEP instructors who are experts in their field. You’ll utilize the latest methods and procedures. And when you complete the program, you’ll have earned International Truck and Engine technician credentials.
Tuition Options
You can choose to be placed at an International dealership in exchange for tuition reimbursement, or you can choose to pay your own way and seek employment on your own. Either way, you’re prepared for a great career and a great future.

For most MSAT grads, the program is the first step on the road to a rewarding and exciting career. As a graduate of the respected Universal Technical Institute MSAT program, you’ll have a tremendous advantage when entering the job market. Many dealerships hire only UTI MSAT graduates. And MSAT Employment Services, a group of friendly and helpful people who work with a nationwide network of dealers who are always looking for qualified technicians, will begin helping you with your job search before you even graduate.
