Volkswagen Academy Technician Recruitment Program (VATRP)
Volkswagen is one of the world’s largest producers of passenger cars, Europe’s largest automaker, and a company with a growing need for Volkswagen-trained technicians. In order to meet the demand of their more than 600 U.S. dealers, Volkswagen of America has joined with UTI to create the Volkswagen Academy Technician Recruitment Program (VATRP).
Training for a select few
VATRP is part of the UTI Manufacturer-Specific Training program (MSAT), a prestigious and highly selective program that’s designed to provide major manufacturers with high-caliber, exceptionally skilled technician candidates. This program isn’t for everyone. You have to apply for admission. And only a select few are chosen to enroll.
Volkswagen-specific training
In this intensive 16-week program you’ll learn how to diagnosis and repair Volkswagen electrical, electronic, engine management, fuel, and passenger safety systems. You’ll get hands-on training on the latest models, including the Beetle, Jetta, Golf, GTI, and Passat. You’ll also earn Volkswagen technician certifications.
VW pays
Volkswagen Academy training is provided at no cost to enrolled students by Volkswagen of America and its dealerships so all you have to do is work hard, have fun, and get ready for a great career. |

As a graduate of the respected UTI MSAT program, you’ll have a tremendous advantage when entering the job market. Many dealerships hire only UTI MSAT graduates. And MSAT Employment Services, a group of friendly and helpful people who work with a nationwide network of dealers who are always looking for qualified technicians, will begin helping you with your job search before you even graduate.
VATRP training is offered at these UTI campuses and locations:
* Rancho Cucamonga, California
